Criteo opens office in Moscow

Earlier this week Criteo, a Paris-based, NASDAQ-listed digital performance advertising company, announced the official opening of its Moscow office.

The company, which considers Moscow the entry point and “central hub for Russia and Russian speaking markets,” aims to improve its ability to help advertisers reach Russian consumers online across multiple devices, including mobile.

“Criteo is a global company,” said Florian Herzing, PR Manager for the CEE region, in an exchange with East-West Digital News – “which means we are able to help our clients address their target audiences wherever they like.”

Criteo began operating in Russia two years ago. Until now, a team of digital experts have served the company’s Russian clients from Criteo’s Munich office, Herzing explained.

Critreo does not disclose local numbers, but Herzing told EWDN that  his company serves such sites as Lamoda and Wildberries, specialized retailers like HomeMe or international companies like Groupon.

The company has also announced the appointment of Emin Aliev as Managing Director for activities in the region. Aliev previously occupied executive positions at Lumata, Buongiorno and Mindshare Interaction. He is a Visiting Professor at Moscow’s Higher School of Economics.
