Microsoft starts PC game production in Yaroslavl

The US software giant Microsoft announced last week that a PC game production unit recently set up in Yaroslavl has started providing its products to Russian customers. An international digital entertainment company, Arvato Digital Services, has been contracted to produce Microsoft’s Xbox 360 console compatible games at its own factory in this city, which is located some 200 miles northeast of Moscow.

EPAM Systems completes IPO

EPAM Systems Inc., a leading global software engineering and IT consulting firm with development centers across Central and Eastern Europe, completed its initial public offering of common stock successfully on Tuesday. The company raised $72 million by selling 6 million shares at $12 each, 67% of which were offered by selling stockholders. The company had expected to sell 7.4 million shares at a price between $16 and $18 apiece.

EPAM Systems launches IPO to raise up to $133 million

EPAM Systems Inc., a major global software outsourcing provider with development units in Central and Eastern Europe, filed earlier this week to raise up to $133 million in an initial public offering on the New York Stock Exchange.

According to a filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission, the company plans to offer 7.4 million shares of common stock between $16 and $18 apiece. The company’s market capitalization has been estimated to be about $778 million at the mid-point of the proposed range. Final pricing is expected in the second week of February.

EPAM rescheduled its IPO to Q1 2012

EPAM Systems, an offshore software developer with major R&D centers in Russia, Belarus, and Ukraine, has rescheduled its IPO to Q1 2012, Reuters reported yesterday.

In June 2011, the company filed with US regulators to raise up to $100 million in an IPO of its common stock. At the time of filing, EPAM announced its intention to use the  proceeds from its IPO  for future acquisitions and general corporate purposes, although it didn’t disclose the price of each share or the number of shares it intended to sell.
