From New York to Kiev: Russian ad tech company expands internationally

GetIntent, an international programmatic technology solution provider with Russian roots, is coming to Ukraine, Russian tech blog Firrma reported last week. The company will offer its solutions on the Ukrainian market via a local partner, Programmatic Media.

GetIntent’s story illustrates the current go-global trend among Russian startups. Founded in 2013 by Russian mathematicians George Levin and Vladimir Klimontovich, the company moved its headquarters to New York city one year later, while keeping its development center in Moscow.

In September 2015, GetIntent raised $1 million in a round led by Russian fund Buran Venture Capital, with the participation of German businessman Thomas Falk. In autumn 2013, Getlntent had attracted $400,000 from AltaIR Capital, a fudn with Russian roots operating internationally.

Aiming to provide transparent and convenient access to RTB infrastructure, GetIntent has developed proprietary technologies powered by machine-learning algorithms.

Among the company’s products is a self-service platform,  the “GetIntent Self-Service DSP,” intended for agencies and advertisers. This platform provides access to all RTB inventory for display, video, mobile and native ads. “Clients have access to a fully self-serve platform with superior training and support,” the company claims.
