US “app accelerator” launches in Russia

Earlier this week Neumob, a California-based company developing app acceleration solutions, announced that it has launched in Russia to continue building out its global network. The company is already present in 50+ metropolitan areas across Europe, North America and Southeast Asia.

“We came to Russia to support the exploding local mobile ecosystem. We can speed up load times and performance for the most popular apps in the region — like WhatsApp Messenger, Viber and Instagram — as well as apps created by Russian companies like VK Messenger and OK.ru,” the company states.

Neumob claims to have created “the most robust network in the world to speed up app load times.”

The company says that its flagship product, Neumob Accelerator, boosts mobile app performance by 2-10 times, whether the app’s users are located in one city or around the world. To gain access to Neumob’s global app acceleration network, developers have to install just a few lines of code into their app.

“Developers need a solution to keep customers from abandoning slow-loading apps, something that hasn’t existed in Russia, until now,” said Neumob CEO Jeff Kim. “As one of the fastest growing populations of smartphone users in the world, Russia was an obvious choice for our next launch — and we’re excited to help developers in this region improve the app experience to retain existing users, and gain new ones, in this lucrative, mobile-first market.”

The Neumob press service told EWDN that “members of the team are specifically assigned to handling the Russian market, based out of Neumob’s UK office in London.” They can be contacted through the company’s main email.
