Report: R&D spending and university incubation are critical success factors for Russian entrepreneurship

From which universities or startups will Russia’s next tech successes emerge from? As the country’s government authorities and universities are seeking ways to translate the country’s human capital into commercial success stories, Russo-British tech consultancy Astelios has released a report on these and other related issues.

Based on a two-year research by Astelios Director Muboriz Muborakhoev, the report highlights, in particular, knowledge transfer, R&D spending and regulation aspects. Also analyzed are the entrepreneurial attitudes in the country, with the younger educated generation generally opting for careers in large corporation rather than the more risky path of startup creation.
