US-Russia Peer-to-Peer Dialogue Program: Harvard researchers to discuss online media and politics this week in Moscow

This week the Center for New Media & Society will host their colleagues Rob Faris and Bruce Etling from the Berkman Center for Internet and Society at Harvard University for a number of joint events in Moscow. These meetings will take place under the project “Crossing Boundaries with New Media” jointly implemented by the Center and the Berkman Center under the US-Russia Peer-to-Peer Dialogue Program.

  • On Tuesday, June 23, at 7pm at the American Center at the Library of Foreign Literature (Nikoloyamskaya st., 1). Rob and Bruce will talk about New Technology in Media. The event will be held in English.
  • On Wednesday, June 24, at 6:30pm, you are invited to take part in the next session of our Club for Internet and Society at the Center’s new office on Solyanka st., 3, bld. 1, suite 12 (see the map). We’ll talk about tech policies in US and Russia, and how different social groups and stakeholders participate in policy construction and implementation. It will be an informal meeting (in English with some translation if needed) with tea and cookies. Parallel to our discussion, we’ll try to take multimedia notes of our meeting. If you’re not in Moscow, you’re welcome to join us via Skype of Google Hangout.

All these events are free of charge.
