Online Payments Market Guide 2014: A complete overview of the global payment scene

ThePaypers, an international online publication on the payment industry, has just released its “Online Payments Market Guide 2014,” the fifth edition of the yearly guide that provides fascinating insights into the global e-payments and e-commerce ecosystems.

This year’s edition provides a comprehensive overview of the global e-payments landscape. Alongside ongoing market trends, developments and case studies, voices from all across the online payments industry – including stakeholders, payments services providers, payment gateways, technology companies, merchants, processors, acquirers as well as top industry experts – have transformed their experience into words to offer a panoramic vision on the status or developments in the online payments space.

In partnership with East-West Digital News, the 2014 Guide also covers regional initiatives, taking into account the differences and similarities in terms of strategies per region and the main players in the online payments landscape. An insightful coverage of Russia is offered through the following contributions:

  • “Unique and universal: The Russian e-payment market in a global perspective,” by Dr. Victor Dostov, president of the Electronic Money association;
  • An overview of the Russian payment scene by Adrien Henni, chief editor of East-West Digital News;
  • “Why Russia plays a key role in Bitcoin development, what to expect next,” by Ocean Bank President Vladimir Grankin;
  • “The internationalization of Russian e-commerce,” by Alexander Ivanov, president of the National Association of Mail Ordering and Distance Selling.

This endeavour has been made possible through the involvement of the Merchant Risk Council, a merchant-led trade association focused on electronic commerce risk and payment strategies, and E-Commerce Europe, an association representing companies selling products and/or services online to consumers in Europe.

The Online Payments Market Guide 2014 is made available free of charge in the form of a PDF document that can be downloaded via The Paypers website — which also offers a unique online company database
