IIDF supports online project to turn “angry citizens” into “satisfied citizens”

Earlier this month the IIDF (FRII in Russian, a major fund launched last year to support Russian Internet startups), announced an investment of 44 million rubles (approximately $1.1 million) in Intelligent Social Systems.

This company develops IT projects for facilitating effective interaction between the public and state agencies and commercial organisations. Its first project was “Angry Citizen,” an independent online resource for handling complaints and finding solutions to problems for residents of Russia.

Angry Citizen is connected to “Satisfied Citizen,” a commercial project which was created to automate the processing of applications. Among Satisfied Citizen’s clients are several ministries and other state organizations.

“Angry Citizen” claims to have resolved 13,078 problems with the help of 1,452 organizations.

Another project is the “League of Quality,” a service for the collection and processing of customer complaints for small companies. The company has previously attracted investment from a business angel and the venture fund Runa Capital.

Intelligent Social Systems has started to collaborate with the presidential administration to  ensure the consideration of messages from citizens, analysis of the messages, the results of the  actions taken on them, as well as the implementation of information and reference work. Now, attention will be paid to the most significant appeals from those sent to the “Angry Citizen” site, as well as cases causing public outcry, and sent directly to the administration of the president. Additionally, statistical and analytical data will be presented.

“Angry Citizen” also recently signed a cooperation agreement with the portal Sputnik.
