Ubisoft opens Moscow office to serve growing Russian gaming community

Everyone knows that people make vodka is Russia, but now they also make Ubisoft games in that country as well.

The publisher is opening a new office in Moscow. This new wing of the giant game-making corporation will serve as an outpost to provide region-specific support for Ubisoft’s games in the growing Russian market. It also plans to use its Moscow division to develop and localize games for audiences in Russia. The company hopes these efforts will help it boost sales in the country. While gaming sales are doing well in traditional markets like the United States, Russia is one of the new emerging powerhouses when it comes to game spending.
