Major software engineering conference invites speaker submissions

CEE-SECR is the premier software engineering conference in Russia. The 2013 edition of the conference will take place on October 23-25 at the Digital October Center in Moscow. Over 700 industry specialists, representing all IT areas, are expected to attend the event.

The CEE-SECR 2013 Program Committee is launching a call for speakers, who should apply no later than July 29. Speakers will receive one free pass to the conference.

This year’s conference will be held in cooperation with ACM SIGSOFT, while all academic papers accepted to the conference will be published in the ACM Digital Library.

James Stikeleather (Executive Strategist/Chief Innovation Officer at Dell), Dave A. Thomas (founder of OTI, now the IBM OTI Labs), Ivar Jacobson (a major contributor to UML) and other notable speakers will deliver this year’s keynote lectures. The conference agenda will include research presentations, experience reports, panel discussions, workshops, and express-presentations with discussions.

In past years, keynote lectures were delivered by Bjarne Stroustrup, the author of the C++ programming language, Jeff Sutherland, co-creator of Scrum methodology, and Ilya Segalovich, co-founder of Yandex, among other distinguished experts.

The conference is sponsored by RVC, the state-owned fund of funds for innovation, Intel, Google, EMC, First Line Software, APKIT, and RUSSOFT Association, in partnership with East-West Digital News.
