US cloud telephony service provider Infratel raises $3 million from Runa and Prostor

Infratel, provider of cloud telephony services for small businesses, announced yesterday it has secured $3 million in Series A funding from Moscow-based international funds Prostor Capital and Runa Capital. The terms of the deal have not been disclosed.

The funds will be used to build out Infratel’s cloud telephony platform for small business and to strengthen the company’s presence globally.

Infratel is led by Bryan Goode, a former Vice President at Parallels, a Russian software publisher co-founded by Runa Capital’s Senior Partner Sergey Beloussov, noted industry blogger Yakov Sadchikov.

The Seattle, USA headquartered startup makes solutions that connect small business with customers. Infratel solutions help entrepreneurs, fast growing startups and well established small businesses build a professional phone presence, grow through voice-based marketing campaigns and improve their ability to respond to customers.

Infratel claims more than 1000 customers worldwide and helped customers manage 1 billion minutes of calls in 2011.
