Begun and Google to further integrate advertising

Google AdWords and Begun, a leading Russian ad network acquired by Google in 2008, have announced further technological integration of their advertising capabilities.

Currently, 43% of Begun clients use the Begun interface to advertise in Google search results. With the new technology, Begun clients will also have access to the contextual and display advertising inventory of Google’s affiliate sites, including YouTube, Gmail and the Blogspot blogging platform.

One of the features of the Begun ad network is the large number of participating video hosting sites: the Russian version of YouTube, its national competitors RuTube, Newstube and Smotri.com, as well as Rutv.ru and others.

Video advertising is one of the fastest growing segments in online advertising in Russia.
