Rusnano and Nokia Siemens to produce LTE equipment in Tomsk region

Rusnano has signed an agreement to invest in the production of LTE base stations in the Tomsk region, with Mikran, a Tomsk-based company, and the local administration as its partners. Nokia Siemens Networks equipment will be used for production.

According to Kristina Tikhonova, director of the Russian office of Nokia Siemens Networks, Mikran-based production will be launched by the end of 2011. The plant is designed to produce ten thousand base stations per year.
