New MVNO launched in Moscow region

CountryCom, a Russian telecommunications operator offering a variety of services, announced its launch of an MVNO covering the Moscow regions using the network of Skylink, a leading Russian 3G operator.

According to plans, a similar joint project will be launched in late 2011 in Russia’s North West region.

Skylink plans to develop MVNO projects with a range of other partners, including Rostelecom, Russia’s national telecommunications operator.

Currently there are roughly 15 MVNOs in Russia. According to analysts, altogether they service approximately 600,000 subscribers.
