MTS to invest $3.4 million in Megino-Kangalassky Ulus in Yakutia

Mobile operator MTS has announced plans to invest $3.4 million in network development in the Megino-Kangalassky Ulus in the Republic of Yakutia in 2011.

Under plans, in 2011 the company is to launch mobile network in seven villages of the ulus, as well as to improve connection quality in the villages of Nizhny Bestyakh, Maya, Bedemyo, Tengyulyu, where the company is already operating.

The company is reportedly to develop 2G and 3G networks in the settlement.
