MegaFon becomes partner of International FreeMove Alliance

MegaFon OJSC, the Russian universal telecom operator, signed an agreement with FreeMove, a mobile telecommunications alliance between four major European operators Deutsche Telekom Group, France Telecom Orange Group, TeliaSonera and Telecom Italia. Being part of the alliance, MegaFon will become more attractive for major multinational companies operating in the Russian market. At the first phase of cooperation the customers will get access to special tariff offers for calls inside their entire multinational company.

“Leading mobile operators from Spain, Germany, France and Italy have established a uniform international communications service, and now, as a result of today’s agreement between the alliance and MegaFon, Russia will be added to this list”, said Sergey Soldatenkov, Chief Executive Officer of MegaFon. “We are honored to become partners of the alliance, which will strengthen our positions in the international market of enterprise customers, and even more importantly, it will raise our country’s stature seen by the global society”.
